Popular SearchesPRESS RELEASESt. Norbert College ROTC Program to Remain Active Posted on Sept. 18, 2025De Pere, Wis. — St. Norbert College is pleased to announce that its Army ROTC program will remain in place following revised guidance from the U.S. Army.
In July, the college learned that its program was slated to be inactivated as part of a nationwide reorganization. The Army has issued a revised directive retaining all eligible Senior ROTC programs previously slated for closure or reclassification to a crosstown. As a result, the ROTC program at St. Norbert will continue in its current status as an extension unit.
The SNC ROTC program is a member of the Fox Valley Battalion. Since 1936, the ROTC program at St. Norbert has prepared more than 980 graduates to serve with integrity, courage and honor. Fourteen alumni have risen to the rank of general, and 33 have become colonels. The program will continue to build on this proud legacy, developing leaders for both military and civilian life.
