St. Norbert College CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series

Two CEOs will present in November as part of the St. Norbert College CEO

Breakfast and Strategy Series. This is the 10th year that the college has

provided this educational resource for area business professionals. All of the

presenters are outstanding business and community leaders who will share

their unique strategies for meeting challenges facing American businesses

today. The series is sponsored by Schenck Business Solutions, The Boldt

Company and Marketplace Magazine.

The registration fee is $60 for each session or $350 for the series of seven.

Terry Growcock is the first presenter in the series. The seven presentations

will be held either at the Riverview Country Club in Appleton or at St.

Norbert College Bemis International Center.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 15 - TERRY GROWCOCK TO SPEAK ON

"FUNCTIONING IN THE NEW NORTH AS A GLOBAL BUSINESS"

Terry Growcock, chairman and CEO of The Manitowoc Company, will

present "Functioning in the New North as a Global Business" as part of the

CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 7:30-8:30 a.m.

in the F.K. Bemis International Center at St. Norbert College.

Growcock was appointed The Manitowoc Company chairman and chief

executive officer in October of 2002. The Manitowoc Company is a leading

multi-industry manufacturer of lattice-boom cranes, tower cranes, mobile

telescopic cranes, commercial icecube machines, ice/beverage dispensers

and commercial refrigeration equipment. The firm is also a leading provider

of shipbuilding and ship-repair services for government, military and

commercial customers throughout the U.S. maritime industry.

Growcock attended Indiana University and earned a B.A. in business

management from the University of St. Francis, Fort Wayne, Ind. Growcock

was appointed by President George W. Bush to the Advisory Committee on

Trade Policy and negotiations for the United States Trade Representative. He

serves on several boards and is chairman of the Wisconsin Manufacturers

and Commerce.

THURSDAY, NOV. 16 - THOMAS SCHMIDT TO SPEAK ON "THE

CHALLENGES OF A FAMILY-OWNED CORPORATION"

Thomas Schmidt, president and CEO of U.S. Oil Company, will present "The

Challenges of a Family-Owned Corporation" as part of the CEO Breakfast and

Strategy Series on Thursday, Nov. 16, 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Riverview

Country Club, Appleton.

U.S. Oil is a Wisconsin-based, privately held corporation that specializes in

wholesale distribution of petroleum products and automotive parts. Schmidt

was elected president of U.S. Oil in 1990. He also serves on U.S. Oil's board

of directors.

Schmidt graduated from St. Norbert College with a B.S. in business

administration in 1971. He serves on several boards, including the board of

directors for the Wisconsin Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores

Association (WPMCA) and the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of

America (SIGMA).
