Plank earns 2025 Exceptional Service Award

St. Norbert College has named Nick Plank of Information Technology Services as the recipient of its 2025 Exceptional Service Award.

The award, presented annually at the start of the academic year, recognizes contributions to the college community, leadership and customer service. Recipients are nominated by faculty and staff and selected by the President's Cabinet.

Plank joined the college in March 2020, just days before SNC shifted to remote instruction. He helped more than 150 faculty members transition their courses online, offering technical expertise and steady support during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since then, Plank has led several major projects, including the 2023 Learning Management System review and the college’s migration from Moodle to Canvas. He has also developed tools such as automated syllabus archiving and custom programming solutions that improve efficiency across campus.

Beyond technology, Plank advises the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, earning recognition this year as Student Organization Advisor of the Year. He also mentors student employees at the Tech Bar and performs with the St. Norbert College Jazz Band.
