On March 12, the St. Norbert College community came together in a powerful show of generosity for A Day to uKnight, raising an incredible $670,316 in just 24 hours. Alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends united around a shared purpose: supporting current and future Green Knights.
Thanks to this collective effort, every gift, no matter the size or designation, helped unlock a dollar-for-dollar matching gift to the St. Norbert Fund, up to $300,000. This support makes a lasting impact by advancing SNC’s mission, expanding access to scholarships, enriching the academic experience, and creating new opportunities for students to learn, grow, and thrive.
A Day to uKnight is more than a fundraising effort, it’s a celebration of the community. This year’s giving day was filled with campus-wide events, challenges, and plenty of chances for students and employees to win prizes. That same energy was carried out online, where alumni and friends of the college took part in social media challenges which directly resulted in unlocked matching dollars.
A Day to uKnight recap:
-
$670,316 was raised
-
494 donors participated
-
All three social media challenges were completed, unlocking $22,500
-
$14,250 was added with $750 unlocked for every 25 donors
Each gift made on A Day to uKnight helps ensure the next generation of Green Knights has the resources they need to succeed. Together, these contributions strengthen our community and create a meaningful, lasting impact on the lives of St. Norbert College students today, and for years to come.
This was vice president of advancement, David Williams', first year overseeing A Day to uKnight.
“I arrived on campus in October and have been impressed time and time again by the culture of philanthropy that exists at St. Norbert College. This was yet another example.”
David Williams, Vice President of Advancement
“If you have been participating in A Day to uKnight, then my message is one of immense gratitude — thank you! For those who have not been participating, we will spend the next year trying to earn your support. I am focused on moving St. Norbert College forward and hope every member of the family will eventually want to be part of A Day to uKnight,” said Williams.
If you were unable to participate on March 12, you don’t have to wait for next year’s giving day. More information on ways to give.
