DE PERE: St. Norbert College recently redesigned the fire system in Burke residence hall, a project that cost $187,000. The project planning started in April 2004 and the project was completed and certification tested by Nov. 9, 2004. The contractors involved were Pace Corporation, A & A Fire and Security, Town & Country Electric, IEI General Contractors Inc. and Johnson Controls Inc.

Fire hoses were removed and replaced by a fire sprinkler system and fire sprinklers were installed in every room.
