The lineup is as follows:
Big Band Snowball Concert & Dance 2024: The St. Norbert College music department’s annual Big Band Snowball Dance features live music provided by the St. Norbert CollegeJazz Ensemble, directed by SNC professor Eric High. There will be a cash bar and gourmet desserts. The event is on Friday, March 1, at 7 p.m. in Michels Commons Ballroom, 409
Third St., De Pere. Tickets are $25.
Ger Xiong: The Stories We Carry: The exhibit will be in the Baer Gallery in the Bush Art Center, 403 Third St., through Thursday, March 28. The exhibit will feature designs byXiong, depicting her American Hmong experience; the navigation and negotiation of cultural identity within dominant spaces from histories of colonization, displacement and
assimilation; and how she can reclaim her Hmong identity. There will be an artist’s talk and reception on March 28 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Bush Art Center. Registration is
not required.
String Quartet & Composition Concert: Featuring music composed by current SNC students, the free event takes place on Tuesday, March 5, at 7 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall, 400Grant St., De Pere. Registration is not required.
Faculty Recital Featuring Christopher Cramer: Free and open to the public, this recital highlights adjunct assistant professor of music and guitar Christopher Cramer. The event ison Saturday, March 23, at 2 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall, 400 Grant St., De Pere. Registration is not required.
Spring SNC Community Band Concert: The St. Norbert community band presents two major concerts each year. The group was formed to allow outstanding musicians fromnortheast Wisconsin to experience the finest available band literature. This event is on Monday, March 25, at 7 p.m. in Walter Theatre in the Abbot Penning Hall of Fine Arts, 315
Third St., De Pere. Tickets are $10 per person.
