Meet the Class of 2030
St. Norbert College’s latest group of first-year students is already a few weeks into their opening semester on campus, settling into their rooms, finalizing course loads and discovering favorite college hangouts.
Hailing from 21 states and six countries, these nearly 400 first-year students have become part of the SNC community. 26 have direct legacy ties to campus, too, having at least one parent or sibling who graduated from St. Norbert College!
With academic prowess, a finesse for sports and a thoughtful approach to service, these students are ready to jump into their first year at St. Norbert.
Here’s what our annual snapshot uncovered about the Class of 2030:
They're academic all-stars ...
A love of knowledge and learning inspires this incoming class.
- 22 reported a 30 or higher on the ACT (average ACT was 26)
- 67 achieved a 4.0 GPA or higher in high school (average GPA was 3.52)
- 11 were valedictorians and two were salutatorians
- 81 are members of the National Honor Society
Who find extracurriculars important too ...
Whether prepping for a game or a concert, a high level of performance is key for these students.
- 268 participated in athletics at the high school level
- 54 students were captains of their varsity sport
- 7 student-athletes played on state championship teams
- 63 participated in the fine arts
- 40 students took part in student government, student council and related organizations
The class has broad interests outside traditional activities. Some other interests shared on applications include game development, aviation, robotics, criminal justice, public speaking, environmental work, fishing, trap shooting, sailing, equestrian activities and language/cultural clubs.
There is notable entrepreneurial and leadership energy among this class. Several students run or have founded businesses, and beyond team captains and student-government officers, students have led as club founders, section leaders, peer mentors, tutors, youth coaches, camp counselors and student ambassadors.
