Knight Necessities Initiative

St. Norbert College has always been committed to caring for the whole student — mind, body, and spirit. 

That's why our alumni base started a new initiative after studies found that a considerable number of college students are struggling to meet their most basic needs for hygiene supplies, including menstruation products. Knight Necessities was developed as a way to gather and distribute free supplies that are needed across campus.

Why is this initiative so essential? 
For students living this reality, not having access to hygiene supplies can impact their health as well as their confidence, dignity, and ability to fully participate in campus life. It can create added stress that takes away from being able to focus on their academics and well-being. 

How will students receive supplies?
All students – men and women alike – will have access to a free hygiene closet in a private office space and have the option to shop for items as needed, or fill out a form to have them delivered to their mailbox. Student privacy and dignity is of top priority along with creating a safe space to get the supplies needed. 

How can you donate supplies? 
There are three easy ways to make a donation:

1. Purchase items from our Amazon Wish List.
2. Drop off items in person at SNC's Alumni Office on the third floor of Main Hall.
3. Make a monetary donation which will be used directly toward the purchase of necessary supplies.
