Popular SearchesAcademic AdvisingCurrent StudentsGet guidance to plan your college studies each year The academic advising team at St. Norbert College works one-on-one with our current students each year to help plan course loads and credits based on what’s needed by major and minor. In addition to your individual program plan, these resources are helpful to have:
Planning by year First-year students meet with their academic advisors at least three times during the year (summer, spring and fall) to discuss courses for the next semester, degree plans and academic progress. Come with questions about course offerings/sequencing, DegreeWorks, resources needed for success … anything that’s on your mind! Our academic advisors are also available for additional appointments year-round as needed.
In your second year and beyond, you’ll be paired with an SNC faculty advisor who will serve as your academic and professional mentor. You’ll meet during Advisement Days, providing the chance to discuss everything from the classes you plan to take next semester to your educational and career goals and any research, internship or study abroad plans. As graduation gets closer, your faculty advisor will help you ensure everything is on track.

Paradigms Our advisement paradigms are also available as a resource in planning your course schedule. Each paradigm details a suggested sequence of courses to be taken over a four-year period to complete graduation and major requirements. Check with your advisor to go over these paradigms. Please note the course catalog is where the specific graduation requirements can be viewed. Paradigm templates are subject to change.
