About

Laura Krull is an assistant professor of sociology who enjoys mentoring students in research and encouraging undergraduates interested in developing research skills to reach out to learn more. Her own research investigates how religious organizations in the U.S. both challenge and reproduce inequality along the axes of sexuality, gender and family. She uses a range of methods to conduct her research, including ethnography, experimental design and qualitative analysis of existing resources. Her newest projects analyze publicly available sermons to examine how pastors respond to major news stories and national events.
