St. Norbert College (SNC) Music Theatre will present two renowned musicals in summer 2019 – “Singin’ in the Rain” and “Newsies.” Both shows will be

performed at the Walter Theatre on the St. Norbert campus.

“We’re extremely excited to announce our 2019 season,” said Stephen Rupsch, associate dean for visual and performing arts at St. Norbert College and director for

“Singin’ in the Rain.” “What makes these productions so great is the community. Folks come out of the woodwork to not only be in the production, but to come

cheer on their friends, or the community as a whole, at performances. I really look forward to seeing that support.”

SNC Music Theatre is a pillar in the college’s commitment to inspiring the visual and performing arts throughout the community. SNC Music Theatre is home to both

Summer Stage and Next Stage production units.

Summer Stage, a production featuring performers of all ages, will present “Singin’ in the Rain” in July. Next Stage, featuring talented high school students, will

present “Newsies” in August. Next Stage productions incorporate collegiate-level learning experiences throughout auditions, rehearsals and performances.
