Kathy Licht, associate professor of earth sciences at Indiana University - Purdue

University Indianapolis, will be the guest on the August "Conversations from St. Norbert

College" television show hosted by St. Norbert College associate academic dean and

professor of economics Kevin Quinn. They will discuss Licht's research and career path.

Licht is a 1992 graduate of St. Norbert. She has been researching the Antarctic ice sheet

and joined St. Norbert professor of geology Tim Flood on a research expedition there

last January. Licht's research focuses on understanding the history of the Antarctic ice

sheet so we can better understand what causes it to advance and retreat, and how that

fits in with the global climate system.

New "Conversations" shows appear the first Friday of each month. The series airs on

TWCT Time Warner Cable Television Channel 4 in Green Bay, Howard/Suamico and

Seymour; Channel 4 in the Fox Cities; Channel 2 in Neenah/Menasha; and on NET cable

Channel 46 in Pulaski.

The show also airs on St. Norbert College Channel 5 in De Pere, Ashwaubenon and

Bellevue on Sundays at 9:30 a.m., Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.

The show can also be seen on Wisconsin on Demand (WIoD), Time Warner Cable's local

video-on-demand channel (411). It is available free to Time Warner Cable's digital

customers in 70 communities in northeast Wisconsin.
