Popular SearchesPRESS RELEASEAnnual Dance Marathon Event to Take Place at St. Norbert College Posted on Oct. 29, 2019St. Norbert College students, faculty and staff will participate in Dance Marathon on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 10:06 p.m. The event will take place in the
gymnasium of the Ray Van Den Heuvel Family Campus Center on the college’s campus.
Dance Marathon is a fundraiser on behalf of the Children’s Miracle Network. All proceeds and donations generated by the event go directly to the Children’s Hospital ofWisconsin in Milwaukee. At 13.1 hours, Dance Marathon is the hourly equivalent of half a running marathon’s distance (26.2 miles). Participants will remain on their feet
for the duration of the marathon; no caffeine will be allowed. Throughout the event, local families whose children have been treated at the Children’s Hospital ofWisconsin will speak about their experiences and interact with students.
Dance Marathon is an entirely student-run fundraiser that is planned and managed by a student organization of about 40 members. In 2018, the sixth year of DanceMarathon at St. Norbert College, more than $84,000 was raised for the children’s hospital.
