The broadfield social studies major was designed to be taken simultaneously with the grade 4-12 teaching major. However, it can be taken as a “stand alone” major by non-education students as well. Students in this major complete 14 total courses across six social studies disciplines (i.e., economics, history, political science, psychology, sociology, geography).
