Alex Montenegro serves as the associate director of donor relations in College Advancement, where he leads efforts to recognize, engage and steward donors in meaningful and strategic ways. In this role, Alex works closely with colleagues across the institution to develop comprehensive stewardship programs that highlight the impact of philanthropy and strengthen donor relationships. 

Before joining the College Advancement team, Alex lived in Los Angeles, where he began his fundraising career as a student caller and worked his way up to Annual Giving Manager. This journey ignited his passion for higher education and donor engagement. Through his work, Alex developed a deep appreciation for the college environment and the vital role donor support plays in shaping student experiences. He brings a thoughtful, donor-centered approach to advancement and is passionate about cultivating a culture of gratitude, transparency, and impact throughout the donor experience.
