Popular SearchesCourse catalog Solving Soc/Econ Prob w/Data This course is designed to explore the way in which data can be used to analyze and address societal challenges. Students will explore various topics of economic and social interest that represent current challenges facing our society. Topics may range from education, entrepreneurship, climate change, tax policy, healthcare, economic development, and the economics of opportunity to name a few. Students will analyze these topics using current articles from the literature and learn how data is being used to better understand potential solutions to these challenges. This course is an applied data analytics course where students will learn statistical modeling techniques along with coding-based software. It is recommended to have taken ECON 325 prior to enrollment in this course.
