Nursing program partnership with Bellin College
Overview

As a nurse, you’ll know that the work you do every day truly makes a difference. You’ll be a vital partner in delivering care that improves — and often saves — lives. You’ll get to comfort patients when they are afraid, answer their questions in uncertain situations and ease their pain. This type of service and caring for others is at the heart of our values at St. Norbert College.

Academic paths

If you want the option to earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree in four years or less, you’ve come to the right place. SNC’s partnership with Green Bay’s Bellin College enables students to graduate with a BSN degree issued by Bellin College — and they are considered alumni of both institutions.

Interconnectedness is at the heart of all that we do. The core nursing courses that you take at SNC will provide you with a strong foundation for the work you’ll do toward the completion of your BSN at Bellin College — coursework that focuses on providing extensive clinical experience so that you’re well prepared to enter any area of nursing.

Through SNC’s partnership with Bellin, you’ll earn a BSN. The program has two stages:

  • Years 1–2: You’ll begin on the SNC campus, completing your core requirements with support from a dedicated pre-nursing advisor.
  • Years 3–4: You’ll transition into one of two Bellin College programs: the 15-month option, or the 24-month Junior Transfer option. Even while taking Bellin courses, you’ll have the option to continue living on the SNC campus and remain part of the SNC community.

The Pre-Nursing Program is a cooperative program with St. Norbert College (SNC) and Bellin College. Students do not earn a St. Norbert degree or complete a major or minor at SNC. Students will apply to transfer to Bellin during their second year at SNC and must meet the Bellin College transfer admittance requirements.

Eligible students may be able to enroll in the Bellin College 15-month BSN option beginning in June or the two year transfer option in the fall. Students interested in the 15-month option should discuss this with the SNC academic advisor and the Bellin College admissions representative.

Each fall, SNC and Bellin College will coordinate a meeting for nursing students to review program milestones and provide updates on the transfer process. It is recommended that students set up a meeting with Bellin College Admissions during their second semester at SNC to review helpful transfer information and credit transfer options.
