The ultimate bucket list

St. Norbert College edition

New experiences and adventures await

College is all about new experiences. There are plenty of those in store for you as a student here at SNC!

Check out our Ultimate Bucket List – St. Norbert College edition for some suggestions to make the most of your time at SNC and in the De Pere/Green Bay area. Before you know it, you’ll be walking across the stage at Commencement, so don’t let your four years on campus pass you by!

Get a pic under the iconic SNC arch your freshman year and repeat the tradition each year after so you can look back at all of the memories! Grab a roommate or friend to make your picture even more special!

Whether you need a caffeine boost and a savory scone or just somewhere relaxing to study, check out Ed’s Café within the Mulva Library, an SNC favorite.

Put on your SNC gear and show your Green Knights pride by attending our athletics events. There are so many great match-ups to attend – from football and softball to tennis, hockey and dance!

Did you know that Old St. Joe’s was the first college parish in the United States? Go experience the sense of peace that fills the space is by attending Mass there. Sunday night Masses at 7 p.m. are extra-tranquil.

These are just a few of the must-have meals at Ruth's Marketplace, our campus cafeteria. Try one of them – or anything featured on the daily menu – and you'll understand why SNC is among the top ranks for best college food in the state and nationally!

The faculty and staff here at SNC have an uncommon interest in seeing you succeed. Create meaningful relationships with your professors and let them mentor you academically and personally. Open office hours provide great opportunities to further connect with your professors outside of class.

Being involved outside of the classroom is an important aspect of college life. These experiences add quality and balance (and fun!) to your college experience. We have nearly 90 student organizations including some really unique ones: Ballroom Club, Eco Club, Knitting Knights and many more! Watch for our Involvement Fair in fall to preview the range of options!

Our college mascot – Norby Knight – makes plenty of appearances at SNC events. Just like those arch photos, you'll want some to look back on with Norby, too!

Looking for an inexpensive way to de-stress after class or on the weekend? Head over to the Fox River Trail and be charmed by the beautiful landscape and homes that line the river.

For some reason, pizza usually tastes better in the late-night hours instead of any other time of day. Whether you make your own – or order from one of De Pere’s many pizza joints – you really can’t go wrong.

How many college students can say they live right on the waterfront? Take advantage of the views. There’s nothing better than sitting on the docks early in the morning or as the sun goes down while the water is calm and campus is quiet.

Did you know that St. Norbert College is the only Norbertine college in the world? A great way to learn more about Norbertine values is by heading across the bridge to attend Mass or taking a tour of St. Norbert Abbey.

It is through giving that we receive! Go on a TRIPS (Turning Responsibility Into Positive Service) alternative winter or spring break, or serve the community locally. The Sturzl Center for Community Service & Learning can help connect you with opportunities.

Another great reading/study spot is the Hammock Lounge outside the Campus Center. Relax in the fresh air and soak up the views of the Fox River.

If it’s a campus job you’re looking for, SNC offers a lot of different opportunities that can be found in Workday. Ready for an internship with an outside company? Work with our amazing team at the Academic Advising & Career Development Center (AACD).

Where will your SNC adventures take you? Gain a new perspective on your major through a semester, summer or J-term abroad. We offer Study Abroad programs across the globe with locations from Africa to Asia to Australia.

We have three gallery spaces at the Bush Art Center that are free and open to the public. Different exhibits are featured throughout the year, including student-made artwork.

Have you always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument? Do you have an interest in a particular historical period? Want to brush up on a foreign language? Look for a class that matches your academic interests and see how it might fit in your four-year plan.
