Featured on CNN, Oprah, NPR, and in the New York Times, Dr. Barreca has authored and edited ten books including They Used to Call Me Snow White But I Drifted: Women's Strategic Use of Humor.

Description: If you can make people laugh with you, you’ve won them over to your side, to consensus, where all is in sync. Humor is a social cement, especially in tense or competitive work situations, where laughing together means group solidarity and intimacy, creating aligned perspectives among opponents. Dr. Barreca describes how gender and humor function in the workplace, classroom, and media. In partnership with the Women's Fund of Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.
