Green Knights Blanked by Foresters

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College had seven power-play opportunities but was turned away in a 5-0 loss to Lake Forest College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
The Foresters took a 1-0 lead after the first period when Olivia Opsahl scored a power-play goal at 7:15 of the stanza. The Green Knights would then get four power-play chances in the second period, but would find themselves trailing 3-0 after 40 minutes after Lake Forest got goals from Emilia Edmondson at 16:02 and a power-play goal by Sydney Simone at 19:56.
Lake Forest salted the game away with a pair of third-period goals, coming at 10:21 by Jordan Trapp and 12:21 by Grace Black.
The Foresters outshot the Green Knights 44-26. Evi Johnson made 39 saves for St. Norbert, while Jacque Rogers made all 26 saves for the shutout for Lake Forest.
Lake Forest was 3-for-6 on the power play, while St. Norbert was 0-for-7.
