Fr. Matthew Dougherty, O. Praem., is a Norbertine priest and a post-doctoral teaching fellow in the biology discipline at St. Norbert College. His research focuses on aquatic ecosystems, where he studies strong organism-environment interactions, intraspecific variation, eco-evolutionary feedbacks and environmental DNA as a tool for ecosystem management. Fr. Dougherty believes strongly in teaching the whole person, and he enjoys working with undergraduates on research in both the field and the lab.
