Art students getting ready for a show background

The arts

We’ve got your ticket to arts and culture

Our campus is buzzing with theatre, visual arts, music and cultural events. On top of that, the De Pere and Green Bay areas offer an assortment of exhibits, festivals and live performances.

Theatre

We love our show tunes: the Knights on Broadway cabaret ensemble auditions are highly competitive and the Knight Theatre annual musical always sells out. Anyone, regardless of major, can get involved in the spotlight or behind the scenes. We have two theatres on campus — the intimate in-the-round Webb and the 725-seat Walter — in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts, which also offer rehearsal space and practice rooms. Check out the ticket office to see what shows are coming up.

Visual arts

Our Bush Art Center Galleries inspire visitors through rotating exhibitions. See original works by student artists, professional designers, photographers and visual artists, and enjoy the work of noted masters.

Music

Music lovers can enjoy recitals by faculty or guest artists, which supplement an extensive schedule of vocal and instrumental student concerts. Or, join us for our free five-week Knights on the Fox summer concert series featuring a range of local musicians.

Cultural events

Plus, watch for celebrations and events organized by the Office of Student Inclusion & Belonging and our diverse student organizations, that plan events with artistic and cultural elements.

Arts in the local community

Our De Pere community has several performance venues, including the Broadway Theatre with its resident Birder Players and Comedy City’s improv, with weekly live shows and classes. Additionally, there are many displays of public art, two contemporary art galleries, numerous opportunities for live music, a cozy historic cinema and the anticipated Mulva Cultural Center.

In neighboring Green Bay, there’s the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center, Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, numerous concert venues and many other opportunities to enjoy the arts.
