All Hands on Deck! Day of Giving to Close Out Campaign
Wednesday, April 29, is All Hands on Deck Day: A day we will call on those in our community – students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff and friends – to support the college by contributing to the St. Norbert Fund.
For the past several years, the college has been engaged in Campaign St. Norbert: Full Ahead, a giving campaign that has raised more than $90 million for a wide range of campus initiatives.
To close the campaign with a flourish, our goal is to make All Hands on Deck Day the biggest day of giving ever to the St. Norbert Fund, which is the source of much of the financial aid we are able to provide our students.
Several anonymous donors have generously agreed to match gifts made to the fund on All Hands on Deck Day, dollar-for-dollar – your gift, of almost any size, will be doubled!
Other colleges and universities across the country have rolled out similar campaigns in order to focus their fundraising efforts. Last November, Lawrence University raised more than $1 million
in its first annual Lawrence Giving Day, and this spring, Marian University plans to launch its own inaugural day of giving.
Among larger institutions, Purdue University coordinates a day of giving each spring. In 2014, they raised nearly $7.5 million from donors throughout the U.S. and in 15 countries around the world.
Given the way SNCers come together, there’s little doubt we can be successful in our own right.
To rally members of our community far and wide, we’ll use our social media presence to gear up for All Hands on Deck Day. Be sure to follow our social media accounts so you can stay tuned for updates!
Be prepared – and get your friends, classmates and family on board for All Hands on Deck Day!
