From time to time, we like to showcase a new SNC grad who’s entered the workplace or grad school. Success stories like these are pretty common. In fact, 94 percent of alumni who responded to a survey said they were employed, in grad school or doing service work within nine months of graduating.

St. Norbert is very family oriented and I’ve been through Catholic schooling ever since I was in preschool. I’ve been through Catholic grade school and high school and now I am here at St. Norbert. My mom graduated in 1993, and then my sister graduated last year in May. That family atmosphere just differentiated it from other schools.
I was originally a biology major with a business minor. I started taking my business classes and I had my marketing class with Miles Condon and I loved him as a professor, so I decided to flip them. By that time, I had already gone through so many bio credits that I just decided to keep it. But that’s why I ultimately ended up flipping them, because I loved Professor Condon’s’ classes of business and marketing. It opened my eyes to many different things.
I would definitely say Cabrini in the admissions office, she was really swaying my decision more toward St. Norbert, she was great, and I still talk to her to this day. As well as Professor Condon, he was awesome.
I’m the manager of the football team. I did that in high school, too, but I’ve done it for all four years here. Now I absolutely love it. I love the culture of our team. Everyone is super special there, even the coaches. I’m also the vice president of student relations for our student government. I love being able to give back to the school and I want what’s best for our students here so to be able to take part in that is awesome for me.
I had a summer internship going into my senior year, and it was with PepsiCo, Frito Lay in sales management. I applied for the internship via LinkedIn or Indeed and just heard back and went through three interviews for it. Ultimately that led to a full-time position. So, I’ll be a sales management associate for Frito Lay in Kaukauna. You have a geographic district with either large- or small-format stores. A large format is Walmart and a small format is gas stations or lower volume. My job is to help support those businesses, whether it be in the workplace or one-on-ones or conducting district meetings, as well as talking to store managers, selling, displays, and maintaining the sales that go through those stores.
I would say meeting all the people here, meeting all my friends, and just being able to have a connection back at St. Norbert is really meaningful to me. Being able to come back here like it’s home is definitely beneficial.
