Humans of St. Norbert:

“I think the best thing about St. Norbert College is how connected it is. You can walk down the walkway to Main Hall and see basically the whole campus right in front of you. Whether you are going to an academic building or to Schneider Stadium for a football game or going to the Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center for a volleyball game, you can get anywhere with just a couple minute walk. When I moved here from Indianapolis, I won’t forget the first meeting I had. I’m so used to having to either drive or walk a longer distance so I was like, ‘Ok, I have to leave 15 to 20 minutes before my first meeting.’ I think I got there 15 minutes early! It just goes to show how connected the campus is and that’s a tremendous advantage for athletics. Knowing that our student body can support our athletic events just by walking a short distance across campus and having that community feel.

“My first two months, as [my wife and I] were house hunting, we lived in St. Joseph Hall. Which was a really great experience because I was able to, in some ways, live like how our students do. So I was able to see the community and the interconnectedness of our campus and really able to experience the ins and outs of how accessible our campus is. As I now visit with recruits or visit with our students, I think I can even relate a little bit knowing that I was a former student-athlete and now I’ve lived on the St. Norbert College campus. [After finding a house,] I miss the fact that I could wake up and within five minutes be at the Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center, whether I was going to workout or I was going into the office for the morning.” – Cam Fuller, director of athletics
