Mara Brecht, Ph.D.
Mara Brecht serves as an Assistant Professor of Theology & Religious Studies at St. Norbert College. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Oberlin College, her master’s degree in theology at Harvard Divinity School, and her doctorate in theology at Fordham University in New York. She studies systematic theology, theologies of religious pluralism, and interreligious dialogue, as well as feminist and critical race theory, and philosophy of religion. Mara Brecht is interested in the theological questions that arise from contexts of diversity—including cultural, philosophical, racial, and religious diversity.
Mara teaches courses on systematic theology, world religions, Christianity and religious diversity, and interreligious dialogue.
