A Welcome From the President

Dear SNC Parents and Families,

Welcome – and welcome back – to all of you and your Green Knights students. Like many of you and your students, I also will be kicking off my first year as a member of the SNC community.

It’s a great honor to be the ninth president of St. Norbert College, a place that is doing great work and contributing to the common good. Our world-class faculty and staff truly care about our students and the pursuit of academic excellence, and our community has shown me that communio is real. Everyone has been so welcoming and kind! I’m looking forward to sharing that with our newest students and families, as well as our returning students and families, when you all arrive on campus in a couple weeks.

This year at St. Norbert, we’ll be marking our 125th anniversary – an exciting moment for this small college in northeastern Wisconsin. Throughout the year, we’ll celebrate our heritage and mission, looking back at how far our college on the Fox River has come. But we’ll also be setting our sights on the future: There are lots of exciting developments this year, and I invite you to read about them in “What's New on Campus This Year.”

I hope you’ll make a few visits to campus to experience the excitement of our 125th year for yourself. Mark your calendars now for Sept. 15-16, our annual SNC Day and Family Weekend. Join us for family-friendly gatherings that feature music stages, food, children’s activities, Segway tours, lectures, art and craft vendors, and more.

Thank you for being part of this community, and for welcoming me with open arms. Thank you, too, for entrusting us with your students. They’re an impressive group, and we look forward to experiencing the myriad ways they impact all of our communities, both locally and globally.

Warm regards,
Laurie

President Laurie Joyner, Ph.D.
