St. Norbert College Winter BandFest Concert

The St. Norbert College Music Department will present its Winter BandFest Concert on Sunday, February 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Admission is $7 and open to the public.

The concert will feature the St. Norbert College Wind Ensemble and the 2009 High School Honors Band. Works by William Schuman, Warren Benson, Brian Balmages and others will be performed. The St. Norbert College Mallet Instrument Quartet will be featured in "Serenade for a Picket Fence" by Norman Leyden.

The Wind Ensemble and the Mallet Quartet will both be conducted by Frederick Schmidt, professor of music, clarinet, and saxophone. The Honors Band will be conducted by Schmidt and Eric High, assistant professor of music and low brass.
