Alma Mater Award

Theresa (Heim) Trantow-Witek ’81

Had you asked Terri Trantow-Witek 40 years ago where she saw herself professionally today, she’d most likely have answered with some evolution of the medical-tech role she held then, possibly as manager of a lab. Senior Vice President of Wealth Management at U.S. Bank? Probably not.

But the liberal arts education St. Norbert College provides develops nimble, agile thinkers, able to adapt, grow and seize opportunities — and Terri is a shining example. When a career change became necessary, she pursued it with confidence, obtaining an MBA and steadily rising through the ranks of wealth-management banking at one of the biggest financial-services companies in the country.

For Terri, SNC has been more than the foundation of her education; it has been the inspiration for her approach to both her clients and the team she leads at U.S. Bank. She puts the Norbertine principles of mutual esteem, trust, sincerity, faith and responsibility at the forefront of her interactions, and derives her greatest satisfaction from helping people achieve their dreams — financially, in the case of her clients, and professionally, among the team she leads.

Terri’s servant leadership extends far beyond corporate life, as well. She serves her alma mater as chair of the St. Norbert President’s Advisory Council, and is chair of the board at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens. She is also a member of the St. Vincent Hospital Community Advisory Board and has held numerous other board positions in the community. She has chaired successful capital and fundraising campaigns throughout the Greater Green Bay and Fox Cities communities, including a recent Green Bay Botanical Garden campaign, through which she and her husband/ co-chair Paul Witek raised over $13 million for a new children’s garden.

Terri has been the recipient of the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce Athena Award, received recognition as a Woman of Vision and earned numerous other accolades — to which we add one more: The college is proud to name Terri Trantow-Witek as the 2023 recipient of the Alma Mater Award.
