Livingston, Boockmeier, Pasterski Named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans

DE PERE - St. Norbert College junior Austin Livingston, junior Brad Boockmeier and senior Taylor Pasterski have have been named to the Capital One NCAA Division III Men's Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-America Team, presented by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Livingston was named a first-team Academic All-American, while Boockmeier and Pasterski were second-team Academic All-America selections. St. Norbert's three men's track and field Academic All-Americans were the most in Division III. The Academic All-America honors are firsts for all three men, and Livingston's first-team selection is the first ever for St. Norbert men's track and field.

Livingston, an Appleton native and a graduate of Kimberly High School, holds a perfect 4.00 grade point average with a major in biology. Livingston was an All-American at the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship, running on the Green Knights' 4x400-meter relay, which placed fourth nationally. Livingston was also an All-American at the 2015 NCAA Division III Indoor Championship, running on the Green Knights' sixth-place 4x400-meter relay. He finished second at the 2015 MWC Outdoor Championship in the 800-meter run and 4x400-meter relay, and was first in the sprint medley relay, second in the 800-meter run and 4x400-meter relay at the MWC Indoor Championship. Livingston also won the MWC title in the outdoor 800-meter run and indoor 4x400-meter relay in 2014.

Boockmeier, a Green Bay native and a graduate of Green Bay Preble High School, holds a 3.82 grade point average with a major in mathematics. Boockmeier earned All-American status at the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship, finishing fifth in the decathlon with a school-record 6,709 points. At the 2015 Midwest Conference Outdoor Championship, Boockmeier finished first in the 110-meter hurdles, second in the javelin throw, third on the 4x100-meter relay, fifth in the shot put and sixth in the 100-meter dash. At the 2015 MWC Indoor Championship, Boockmeier was fourth in the high jump and 60-meter hurdles.

Pasterski, a Green Bay native and a Green Bay Preble High School graduate, possesses a 3.70 grade point average with a double major in psychology and sociology. Pasterski was an All-American at the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship, also running on the same 4x400-meter relay as Livingston. He was a two-time All-American at the 2015 NCAA Division III Indoor Championship, finishing sixth in the 4x400-meter relay and eighth in the 400-meter run. Pasterski finished second in the 400-meter run, 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay, was fourth in the 200-meter dash and fifth in the 60-meter dash at the 2015 MWC Indoor Championship. He finished second in the 4x400-meter relay, third in the 400-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay and was fifth in the 200-meter dash at the 2015 MWC Outdoor Championship. In his career, Pasterski finished with five titles, eight runner-up finishes and 11 third-place finishes at MWC championships.

The Green Knights won their first MWC men's track and field championship by capturing the 2015 outdoor title on May 9 in Ripon.

It is the 63rd time among 48 overall recipients a St. Norbert student-athlete has received Academic All-America mention.

To be eligible for national or regional selection, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.0, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his current institution and be nominated by his sports information director. The Academic All-America team is selected after All-District teams are picked from eight geographic regions nationally.
