Lamers Named MWC Offensive Player of the Week

DE PERE - St. Norbert College sophomore forward Sam Lamers has been named Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Lamers led St. Norbert to a 2-0 win Sunday over UW-Platteville at Schneider Stadium. Lamers assisted on the game's first goal, a rebound finish by Joe Fabich just 21 seconds into the match. Lamers then pushed the Green Knights ahead by two goals with a clean finish in the fifth minute.

St. Norbert returns to action at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon.
